A leading Life Insurer that has undergone an extremely efficient restructure, and with an ambitious growth strategy for 2012, is seeking a Business Unit Engagement Manager for its Group Head Office in London. This role will be the key day-to-day point of contact between the Group Finance team and the different business units, working closely with FDs and their teams, to proactively understand and challenge the financial results to improve business performance. It will be your responsiblity to build effective partnerships commercially, whilst providing strong technical accounting advice. Given the high profile nature of this role it is essential that you have the commercial and technical acumen to undertake the opportunity. Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (e.g. CA), or equivalent, with a wealth of experience in a Life Insurance accounting environment. A strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS accounting, FSA reporting and Solvency II is a must. As you will be liaising with high profile individuals at all levels (including the parent company) you should have the personality to deal with individuals at all levels.
